Chromebook Kawa of Care Meetings
This term we are holding two Kawa of Care meetings. This meeting is for students and their
families to learn about and sign our Kawa of Care Agreement. The agreement is set up between
students, parents and school to ensure the best care and responsibility is exercised with the
device (Chromebook) during each student’s time at Papakura Central School
(Kootuitui Digital Immersion Programme).

Another aspect of signing this agreement is so that students are then able to take their device home
and will afford the same expectations whilst in your care. Therefore, if your family does not
attend a Kawa of Care meeting, Chromebooks will stay at school.

We ask that even if you prefer the device to remain on our premises, that you attend a meeting
to develop an understanding of how this agreement supports your investment of a Chromebook.

It is important that both the children and parents/whanau attend the meeting. These sessions
take approximately 40 minutes. You are only required to attend one of the two meetings. Students
do not need to bring their device along.
