Sign Language Week

We have been learning sign language for NZSL week. Together as a class we came up with all the signs that we had learnt from the game Sign Ninja. Then we got into groups and used the words that we already knew to write a story and we learnt the words in between that make the story make sense. We practiced our lines and made videos to show our learning. Here is some group's work.

  15. Hi there, my name is Safa and I am a student in room 8 at Waikowhai primary School. I really like the way you used action with your fingers. It made me think of people who actually have to use sign language because they can’t hear or talk. Have you thought about adding music in to the video. 16. Hi there, my name is Jerry R and I am a student in room 8 at waikowhai primary School. I really like How you guys could sing a song while doing sign language!. It made me think of How I first learnt my sign language and how I tried to sing a song with it but it got me confused! But what you guys did was extraordinary.

Have you thought about practising it well so that when it’s time for the camera to roll you already have it in mind. If you would like to see my learning, my blog is http://wpsjerryr.blogspot.co.nz/
