Google maps

We have been learning to use google maps, in maths. Google information gives us the time it would take with all different kinds of transport, the directions or route, it gives you street views, the fastest time and it does the same thing for the rest of the world. I have an activity for you to do at the end, it will be lots of fun. I would love lots of feed back. Amie

    Nice work Amie. I found out it will take me 41 minutes to walk the 3.2km between The Prawn Park and Huka Falls. Biking it will only take me 14 minutes and driving is the quickest and shortest! 5 minutes and only 2.9km. I LOVE the idea of walking or biking though, so even if it's quicker to drive, if the sun is shining, I will be walking one way and biking the other.

    Hello Amie,
    Great learning about distances in google maps. I have been to the Prawn park in Taupo. I was weird to see a pink pond of moving prawns! I found that from there to the Taupo Airport is 19.3 km. This would take me 17 mins to drive.
