Dakota

This is an audio recording of Dakota reading a news report off Sonshine online.  She read the news report several times and discovered that she got better at reading it the more times she read.  This is why repeated reading is important.

Thank you Tania

This is a video for Tania to show how much she has helped us. It is also to show what we liked about the whole Learn,Create,Share model. So following that model she has shown us a lot of ways to Learn using digital technology. For Create she has introduced different websites that helps all of us create the way we want to. And for Share she has shown us how to use our blogs properly so that we can share with the wider community. Thank you Tania By Manveen

Earthquakes

Did you know that fault lines don't actually go throughout the whole of New Zealand? I do NOW
Did you know that Liquefaction is when the waste and water pipes break and leave liquid all over the ground? I do NOW
Did you know that there's such thing as a Richter scale that rates the earthquake? I do NOW

Just two days ago I didn't have a clue about earthquakes but thanks to the NZ Shakeout I learnt that Three simple things can save your life-DROP, COVER , HOLD! I also learnt that geologists study the earth and that there are four main layers of the earth and when Deformation occurs it is when the ground gets uneven. People are more prepared then before since the Christchurch Earthquake.

Thank you for the shakeout
